I was commissioned to create portraits for an Annual Report of Historical Returns for a large global asset manager. The main portrait I had already created for another publication but 2 additional portraits were needed to complement that one. The timeline was extremely tight so I created the portraits in 2 layers, line and color. That way if the color wasn’t working in the layout it would be a quick fix to rework that rather than creating the entire illustration. The color also needed to match approved color palettes, so you’ll see an image below where I created the palette for reference when adjusting the portraits’ final color. I really like how the entire project turned out.
